Why a spare is worth having
Plenty of cars are bought second hand with just one key, and plenty of second keys go missing over the years. It's easy to put off. But making a copy from a working key is a simpler job than making a key from scratch once the last one is gone, so it's worth sorting while you still have one.
A spare also helps day to day: one for each driver, one kept safe at home, one for whoever borrows the car.
What you get
We cut the blade to match your existing key and program the chip and remote to your car, so the spare works exactly like the original: it starts the engine, and the buttons lock and unlock the doors. If your car uses a flip key, a remote fob or a plain transponder key, we'll match the type you have where we can.
- Blade cut to match your current key
- Chip programmed to the car's immobiliser
- Remote buttons coded and tested
- Tested with you before we leave
We come to you
There's no need to take time off or drive anywhere. Tell us a time and place that suits you, at home, at work or wherever the car will be, and we'll bring everything in the van. The car doesn't need to move, and the job is done while you get on with your day.
If your current key is playing up
If your only key has a worn button, a cracked case or works one day and not the next, mention it when you call. It's often better to deal with that at the same time, either by repairing it or replacing it, so you end up with two keys you can rely on. We also handle key and remote programming and remote key repairs.
Getting a price
Send us the make, model and reg, and if you can, a photo of your current key. We'll give you a price up front, agreed before we set off. We cover Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and the towns in between.
